Questions

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?

No. To get carrier rates, the quote tool needs six pieces of information: your gender, date of birth, how you would describe your health, whether you use tobacco, how much coverage you want, and how many years you need it for. Your personal contact information is only requested if you decide to apply for coverage.

Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?

The prices you see are what carriers are quoting for the health classification you selected in the tool. The carrier's final decision on your premium may confirm that classification, improve it, or place you in a different class after they review your full health history. Quotes are estimates only and nothing on this site guarantees a particular price or rate.

What happens when I click Apply?

Selecting a quote takes you to a secure application form that begins with your name and the answers you already gave. The application runs on the carriers' own secure platform, so you can come back to it later and finish when it suits you. You sign electronically, and the whole process is managed by Susman Insurance Agency, a California-licensed insurance agency with License 0B75129.

Will I need a medical exam?

Whether a medical exam is required depends on which carrier you choose, how much coverage you are applying for, and your health profile. Many carriers today offer an accelerated underwriting process that does not require an exam for qualified applicants; the quote shows you which products require an exam, which might, and which do not.

Is a longer term better?

The right term length depends on your situation. Term coverage should span the years when your family would face financial hardship if you were not here: years with a mortgage, children at home, or business debt. Longer terms lock in a low rate for more years but cost more per month. The quote tool lets you see what 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30-year terms cost from each carrier so you can decide.

Does this site sell my information?

No. The quote tool does not collect your name or phone number, we do not buy or sell visitor information, and the way we measure site usage does not use cookies or tracking. Read the privacy page for details on exactly what information is collected and how it is used.
